What got you involved in your practice?

My practice is reflective of my own journey into wellness. I grew up in a home where we always took a holistic approach to wellness. When I hit my teenage years, I started to experience a lot of hormonal acne. That change weighed on me mentally and emotionally. After trying different options I found success with healing my body holistically. Pilates was the start, I gradually started to change my diet and energy healing was what brought everything together. I became so passionate about health and wellness and wanted to share as much as I could to help others. Now as a new mom, I am integrating what I’ve learned and what I continue to learn into my home.

How do you prioritize mental wellness?

I believe we need to prioritize our mental health now more than ever. I try my best to dedicate 20 minutes of my day to movement and 10 minutes to a mindful practice. Movement can look like a walk, stretch, pilates flow and a mindful practice can look like a meditation, breathing technique, journaling or just being out in nature. I let my intuition guide me and honor what my body is calling for each day.

What is your favorite thing about Well+Kind?

I love that it is women owned and created. I love that it brings like-minded individuals together to learn and grow. I also love that it is going to be an evolving platform that will provide tools to help achieve optimal health.

What is something you cannot go a day without doing?

Expressing my gratitude. I feel so blessed and I try to show that in every moment that I possibly can.

Is home for you a place or a feeling? Can you describe it?

Home is a feeling. I cherish creating a sacred and safe space for my family and myself to come to each day. I love using Palo Santo/Sage and crystals to create that space.

How do you define beauty?

Beauty is a feeling, it’s an energy that you create when you honour and respect every part of you and your journey.
